Warranty

Please understand that we offer products to the Type 1 Diabetes community as close to our cost as possible. We do not want to artificially increase the price to put these out of the budget of anyone who may benefit from our products. Because of this, we are only able to offer a limited 6 month warranty.

What is Covered
The warranty is 6 months from the date of delivery. We promise that you will receive a product that is defect-free in materials and workmanship. The warranty applies to the original purchaser or gift recipient.

What isn't Covered
Because SugarPixel is built in small batches, minor aesthetic differences are common. These are not covered by warranty unless they affect the functionality of SugarPixel. Damage caused by accidents, abuse, disassembly, or other non-standard use is not covered. The SugarPixel software is also not covered by warranty because it relies on cloud services provided by others. We will make every effort to keep it updated and functioning in the event one of the cloud services has changes. Usage of power cables or chargers not supplied with the SugarPixel voids the warranty on electronics and the LED display except if your country cannot use the supplied wall charger prongs. In these countries which cannot use the supplied wall charger, you must use a 2.1A or greater, 5V USB A power adapter that is not a switching power adapter to maintain the warranty coverage

Repair or Replacement
CustomTypeOne will repair or replace, at our discretion, any SugarPixel that proves to be defective in material or workmanship. Because it contains confidential medical information stored in internal memory, we will usually opt to mail you replacement parts to perform the repair yourself. If we are unable to determine which parts need replaced, warranty requests are required to be shipped back to CustomTypeOne at your expense for review and repair. We will cover the shipping expense to have the repaired or replaced item mailed back to you.

You must contact us by emailing support@customtypeone.com to start warranty service.

Not in warranty?
Please contact us even if your warranty is expired or the damage is not covered under warranty. We will make every effort to repair your SugarPixel at cost.

The Fine Print
This warranty contains the sole warranty of CustomTypeOne. There are no other warranties, express or implied, except as required by law, including the implied warranty of condition of quality, merchantability, or fitness for a particular purpose. And such implied warranties, if any, are limited in duration to the term of this warranty. Some states or countries, do not allow limitations on how long an implied warranty lasts, so the above limitations may not apply to you. Second-hand, aftermarket, or used sales will void the warranty to the new and original purchaser because the requirements, restrictions, and functionality with it being a medical device can no longer be guaranteed with multiple owners.
