Rafa

The Navigator

Hometown: Valparaíso, Chile

Rafa grew up in Valparaíso, where the hills are painted like rainbows and the harbor hums with a rhythm all its own.

He joined the Juicebox Pirates after finding a glowing compass washed ashore after a storm - a compass that never pointed north, but always seemed to know where he was supposed to be next. The day The Luma Tide appeared, the compass had already brought him to the hidden bay.

Nobody on the crew builds, fixes, or reinvents things quite like Rafa. When something breaks, he grins. That just means there's an opportunity to make it better.

If you have diabetes, you know that things don't always work the way you planned. Devices need adjusting. Routines need rebuilding. Numbers surprise you. Rafa reminds you that problem-solving isn't a sign that something's wrong - it's just part of the process. Every adjustment you make is a small invention. And you've already made hundreds of them.

When something breaks, that's the chance to make it better.
